BOOM!!: Ohio State Quarterback Will Howard Delivers Message to Oregon Before Rematch

Will Howard is excited for another chance against Oregon. Howard and Ohio State secured a rematch with the top-seeded Ducks following a commanding 42-17 victory over Tennessee on Saturday.

The Buckeyes started strong, showcasing a commanding display that quickly removed any fading recollections of their surprising defeat to Michigan. Ohio State scored 21 points in the first quarter and easily secured the first-round win. Howard performed well in the victory, achieving 83% completion on his passes for 311 yards and two touchdown throws. His only error was an interception during the second quarter.

Ohio State is scheduled to meet the top-seeded Oregon in the Rose Bowl on January 1, in a much-anticipated rematch. The Ducks narrowly defeated the Buckeyes in their initial matchup on Oct. 12, achieving a 32-31 win. In that match, Ohio State had an opportunity to arrange a game-winning field goal, but quarterback Howard’s choice to postpone his slide on an important run hurt them as time ran out.

Now, with the stakes at an all-time high, Howard has the opportunity for redemption. “It’s going to be an incredible chance for each one of us.” “I believe we have all been anticipating this match and another opportunity against these guys,” Howard stated during his postgame press conference. “The conclusion of that last one doesn’t feel right to me…” I’m simply grateful for the chance to have another go at them.

In life, opportunities for second chances are rare. “The opportunity for another chance is a gift from the Lord.” According to ESPN BE, Ohio State began as a 1.5-point favorite for the game.
