The 29-year-old right-handed pitcher began the 2024 season with the Detroit Tigers, achieving a 2.95 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP over 106.2 innings thrown. As the Tigers competed for a spot in the playoffs, they traded Flaherty to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the MLB trade deadline to improve their farm system.
