REPORT: Sherrone Moore is Focusing on two Elite Transfer Portal Linemen.

When it involves having large guys in the trenches, you can never possess an excess of players. For years, Michigan has utilized the strategy of overpowering rival defensive lines with a physically strong offensive line (just check with Ohio State), and it appears that Sherrone isn’t avoiding that game plan in the future.

Although the Wolverines have secured two strong linemen in the 2025 portal, namely Brady Norton and Lawrence Hattar, the coaching staff remains focused on enhancing the offensive line. In addition to their emphasis on strengthening the offensive line via the transfer portal, Michigan has excelled at bringing in important contributors through recruiting. Top 5-star recruit Andrew Babalola has already committed to the Wolverines, and indications suggest that 5-star Ty Haywood will soon follow suit.

Here is an overview of a few additional transfer targets that Coach Moore and Newsome are chasing.

1. Daniel King, Offensive Tackle, Troy

According to On3’s portal ratings, Daniel King is considered the highest-rated remaining OT in the transfer portal. King arrived at Troy after the new Michigan offensive coordinator Chip Lindsey had already left. Nonetheless, Lindsey recruited him, and he is acquainted with the new offensive coordinator. King has just joined the portal, so we can imagine his phone is ringing constantly; Michigan is going to pursue this one fiercely. King possesses one remaining year of eligibility.

2. Leif Magnuson, Offensive Tackle for Arizona

If you were to evaluate an offensive lineman’s skill just by their name, Leif Magnuson would undoubtedly earn 5 stars every time. With a name that suits a Viking warrior, how could Sherrone Moore resist this kid? Magnuson has been in communication with the maize and blue for several weeks and is evaluating several other offers he has received. He is now considered the 3rd best lineman left in the portal. Similar to King, Magnuson retains one year of eligibility remaining. He additionally offers some versatility, having played both tackle and guard while at Arizona.

Definitely a few names to watch for Michigan supporters. As the portal cycle starts to conclude, anticipate that both of these young men will arrive at decisions shortly.
