We found out this week that two Nittany Lions had left the Penn State football program, including the previous top kicker in the nation.
The previous premier kicker in the nation is leaving Penn State football as the club gets ready to start winter training.
Following the program’s winter changes earlier this week, veteran kicker Sander Sahaydak is no longer on the Penn State football roster. Despite having one season of eligibility left, Sahaydak is reportedly no longer with the Nittany Lions. The Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, native is thinking about going into golf as a career, according to a post made Thursday night by Mark Brennan of Lions247.
During his time at Penn State, Sahaydak finished 25-25 on extra points and 3-9 on field goals. After leaving the expected starter’s fall camp each of the previous two seasons, Sahaydak was replaced by Ryan Barker in 2024 and Alex Felkins in 2023.
According to 247Sports, the Liberty High School graduate was the top kicker in the 2021 recruiting cycle.
Similarly, Penn State football’s offensive lineman Addison Penn is no longer on the team. The Duke transfer is skipping his last season of eligibility for both graduate school and the workforce, according to Lions247.
