The transfer portal is starting to buzz again in college football as programs look to complete their rosters with spring practices in full swing. While the spring portal window has yet to officially open, and a fresh wave of transfers is still on the horizon, the current market remains limited. Among the teams actively looking to plug holes is Bowling Green, now under the leadership of new head coach Eddie George, as they work to solidify their lineup through available transfers.
Bowling Green has landed its next quarterback via the transfer portal. Veteran signal-caller Drew Pyne announced his commitment to the Falcons on Monday, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
“NEWS: Former Missouri quarterback Drew Pyne is transferring to Bowling Green, he told ESPN,” Thamel shared on X (formerly Twitter). “Pyne started his career at Notre Dame (2020-22), transferred to Arizona State (2023), and spent last season at Missouri. He’s 9-3 as a starter and has two years of eligibility remaining.”
Pyne’s college football journey has taken him across several Power Four programs, but his most significant playing time came during the 2022 season at Notre Dame, where he held the starting role for most of the year. Now, he brings his experience to Bowling Green under head coach Eddie George.
