Cincinnati Hits on Big Board Value in The Athletic’s Three-Round Mock Draft

The Athletic Tabs Mike Green to Bengals in Latest Three-Round Mock Draft

Nick Baumgardner of The Athletic unveiled his newest three-round NFL mock draft this week, projecting the Bengals to select a familiar face at No. 17 overall: Marshall edge rusher Mike Green.

“Like Abdul Carter, Will Campbell, and Jalon Walker, Green is an elite athlete who brings a Micah Parsons-like level of versatility,” Baumgardner noted. “However, teams will need to do their homework on some significant off-field concerns before making a commitment.”

Green is currently ranked No. 18 on the consensus big board and is considered the fifth-best edge rusher available.

With their second-round pick (No. 49), Baumgardner has the Bengals grabbing Georgia offensive lineman Tate Ratledge. In the third round (No. 81), they go with Notre Dame safety Xavier Watts.

Ratledge ranks 68th overall and sixth among interior offensive linemen on the consensus board. Watts, meanwhile, comes in at No. 49 overall and third among safeties.
