While it’s still far too early to predict the top 25 teams for the next college basketball season, several media outlets have already released early rankings — even as players still have nearly two weeks left to enter the transfer portal.
Among those early projections, the Kentucky Wildcats emerged with a consensus ranking of No. 11, with On3 placing them as high as No. 4.

It’s worth noting that many of these rankings were released before Kentucky landed Arizona State transfer Jayden Quaintance, who is widely regarded as a top 5 to top 10 player in the transfer portal.
The Wildcats may still be looking to add a perimeter scorer, but with several days remaining before the portal window closes, that situation could evolve.
Still, there’s a clear sense of optimism among college basketball analysts regarding Kentucky’s offseason additions.
