Brandon Garrison has officially announced his return to the University of Kentucky for the 2025–26 basketball season, providing a significant boost to head coach Mark Pope’s frontcourt. The 6-foot-10 forward, who transferred from Oklahoma State, made notable strides during his sophomore year at Kentucky, averaging 5.9 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game in 17.3 minutes of play. He also expanded his offensive repertoire by attempting and making three-point shots, hitting 12 of 40 after not attempting any in his freshman year.
Garrison’s decision to stay comes amid the addition of new frontcourt talent, including Croatian big man Andrija Jelavic, who recently committed to Kentucky. Despite potential competition for playing time, Garrison’s return signals his readiness to compete and contribute significantly in the upcoming season.
Coach Mark Pope has expressed confidence in Garrison’s potential, highlighting his growth and the expanded role he is expected to play alongside other frontcourt players like Jayden Quaintance and Mouhamed Dioubate.
Garrison’s return not only adds depth to Kentucky’s frontcourt but also provides valuable continuity as the Wildcats aim for a strong 2025–26 campaign.
