Josh Leonard, a small forward from Wilson High School in South Carolina, has not yet announced an offer from NC State basketball coach Will Wade. No other 2027 prospects have received offers from NC State either, but Leonard, a standout among rising high school juniors, is likely to be among the first targeted by the Wolfpack in this recruiting cycle.
According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Leonard made an unofficial visit to NC State in Raleigh on Monday to meet with first-year coach Will Wade and his staff.
Leonard, who caught the Wolfpack’s eye during this spring’s grassroots events, is a consensus five-star recruit across major scouting platforms. He has already secured six offers, including two from ACC schools Clemson and Cal.
Currently, he ranks No. 9 overall, No. 4 among small forwards, and No. 1 in South Carolina on the 247Sports 2027 Composite.
