Micah Parsons has been the center of attention since he first took the field as a rookie wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform, and he didn’t let anyone down.
Four years later, he has been selected to the first team All-Pro twice and has been a four-time Pro Bowler.
With the statistics to support it, Parsons has emerged as one of the league’s top defenders. It’s time to give him what he deserves.

Micah Parsons is expected to sign a record-breaking contract deal worth approximately $180 million, with $125 million guaranteed over four seasons, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.
In addition to making Parsons the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league, the deal would also make him the highest-paid defender in the league, as Nick Bosa’s recent five-year, $170 million contract reset the market for elite edge rushers. Parsons’ deal would be about a $11 million increase from Bosa’s contract.
Despite being worth every penny, Parsons came out and stated, “It would be nice to be surrounded by good players, players that will help me win championships, I’ll say that.” Parsons has a career total of 52.5 sacks and nine force fumbles. Being chipped every play and slipped into three or four people with forty million dollars doesn’t sound like much fun to me. For me, it’s about retaining those who have the ability to change things.
Any team would love to have a player like Parsons. In addition to motivating the guys around him, he is more concerned with acquiring and keeping other elite players to win Super Bowls than he is with setting records.
