The Ohio State Buckeyes recently secured their first national championship in ten years, and many individuals are quite unhappy about it.
You see, supporters of Michigan, fans of Penn State, and followers of nearly all other Big Ten universities. Everyone despises the notion that Ohio State is once again at the forefront, which is entirely reasonable.
But did you ever consider that the Buckeyes would attract such a considerable amount of animosity from someone outside their conference?
Evidently, this is a phenomenon, as now former Georgia Bulldogs offensive lineman Tate Ratledge has shown just how much he detests Ohio State in a recent episode of the Mullets on the Mic podcast.
“I can say this now that I’m no longer part of Georgia football.” I dislike Ohio State with all my being. I loathe them. I have always done so, and I will continue to do so. “I can’t stand Ohio State,” Ratledge stated.
But what is it about a player from Georgia, a university that has faced Ohio State just two times throughout its history, that makes them dislike the Buckeyes so much?
“I’m not sure, but my family has always disliked them, so I kind of grew up hating them,” Ratledge remarked. “I simply have never been fond of them.” The supporters are arrogant, similar to The Ohio State University (expletive), stop that. Nobody is concerned. “However, Ohio State was the final team I wished to see succeed.”
Ratledge and the Bulldogs indeed faced Ohio State in December 2022, winning against the Buckeyes in the Peach Bowl.
The 23-year-old will transition to the professional level this offseason, as he is assuredly going to be chosen in the NFL Draft. Let’s just wish he doesn’t include any past Ohio State players on his NFL roster.
