“Massive Boost” Michigan State football Receives Significant Positive Update Following Serious Injury Worries

EUGENE, Ore. − Nick Marsh is coming back, and there’s additional good news for the Spartans.

Left tackle Stanton Ramil has been removed from the injury report, bringing Michigan State football nearly at full capacity before the Friday night game against No. 6 Oregon.

Marsh, recognized as the Big Ten and national freshman of the week after the Spartans’ win against Maryland on September 7, was absent during the loss to Boston College and participated in just one drive during Saturday’s 38-7 defeat to Ohio State, where he made two receptions for 20 yards before remaining out for the remainder of the game.

Ramil, a redshirt freshman who started at left tackle for the first time in college during the 23-19 loss to the Eagles on September 21, took part in warmups prior to the game against the Buckeyes but did not see action. Michigan State began Rakeem Johnson at left tackle and alternated him with fellow true freshman Rustin Young in that spot.

The sole player marked as questionable for the Spartans is starting linebacker Jordan Hall. Others who are still on the sidelines include tight end Michael Masunas, wide receivers Antonio Gates Jr. and Alante Brown, cornerbacks Ade Willie and Chance Rucker, along with defensive back Dillon Tatum.

Three more players who were hurt in the matchup against the Buckeyes—defensive tackle Maverick Hansen, safety Malik Spencer, and nickel back Angelo Grose—are not included on either injured list for the 9 p.m. kickoff between MSU (3-2, 1-1 Big Ten) and the Ducks (4-0, 1-0), who are playing their first conference game since becoming part of the league.
