BREAKING: Irish Eyes on the Prize, Notre Dame’s ACC Tournament Journey Begins.

Notre Dame is aware of its route for the 2025 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament following the conclusion of the regular season on Sunday. The Fighting Irish co-opted the ACC’s regular season title with NC State as both teams ended the regular season with 16-2 conference records.

NC State will secure the top seed in this week’s tournament, showcasing the 15 best teams in the conference, while the Irish will hold the second seed due to the Wolfpack’s victory against them last week. Duke is seeded No. 3, while Florida State holds the No. 4 seed following the Blue Devils’ victory over the Seminoles on Sunday. The top four seeds each receive double byes and will not compete in their first game until Friday, March 7. The tournament takes place from Wednesday, March 5, to Sunday, March 9 at First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The squads in Notre Dame’s portion of the bracket include No. 3 seed Duke, No. 6 Louisville, No. 7 California, No. 10 Virginia, No. 11 Stanford, No. 14 Clemson, and No. 15 Pittsburgh.

Virginia and Pitt are set to face off in a first-round game on Wednesday at 3:30 PM. The victor of that match will compete against California at 5:00 PM on Thursday. The victor of that match will face Notre Dame at 5:00 PM on Friday during the tournament’s quarterfinals.

If Notre Dame triumphs in its quarterfinal match, the Irish will move on to Saturday’s semifinals to face either Duke, Stanford, Clemson, or Louisville at 2:30 PM. The ACC Championship match is on Sunday at 1:00 PM (all times in EST).
