The March 17 episode of WWE Raw saw a major spike in viewership, reaching 3.1 million global views on Netflix, according to a report from Wrestlenomics. This episode marked the first confrontation between John Cena and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes after Cena’s shocking heel turn. The show ranked in the top five globally in English and claimed the number four spot in the United States.
The episode kicked off with Cena explaining his heel turn at Elimination Chamber, blaming the fans for his actions. It also featured a No Holds Barred Match, a WrestleMania 41 contract signing between Bianca Belair and IYO Sky with an appearance from Rhea Ripley, and an Intercontinental Championship match in the main event. This episode earned the 11th-highest hours viewed of all Raw episodes on Netflix since its debut in January. It also became the seventh episode to surpass three million global views on Netflix.
The most talked-about moment on social media was Cena’s over-20-minute promo, where he explained why he attacked Cody Rhodes after his Chamber match victory. However, Cena did not address Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s involvement or whether “The Final Boss” had any influence. Despite the intense confrontation, Cena and Rhodes did not engage in physical altercations during the segment.
