Spring ball is officially wrapped up, and Clemson football fans have every reason to be fired up for the 2025 season.
The Tigers put together an impressive spring, showing signs that they could boast one of the top offenses in the nation. Leading the charge is Heisman contender Cade Klubnik, who passed for over 3,600 yards with 36 touchdowns and only six interceptions last season. He’ll be throwing to what many consider the best receiving corps in college football.
While the departure of Phil Mafah is a hit to the ground game, the backfield still looks promising—especially with breakout candidate Gideon Davidson stepping in.
Clemson’s defense remains elite, and the entire roster appears poised to improve on its 2024 performance, which already earned the Tigers a spot in the expanded College Football Playoff.

According to ESPN, Clemson is bringing back 81% of its production from the 2024 College Football Playoff squad — the highest percentage in the country. That’s not too surprising when you consider the talent returning to the roster. Trailing just behind are Arizona State at 79% and Illinois at 76%.
If returning production is any indication of success, these numbers suggest that Clemson and Arizona State are well-positioned for another shot at the College Football Playoff in 2025.
