Sam Houston shooting guard Lamar Wilkerson is reportedly planning visits to Indiana, Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Auburn, according to On3 national recruiting analyst Joe Tipton.

Standing at 6-foot-5, junior guard Lamar Wilkerson from Ashdown, Arkansas, averaged 20.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.1 steals per game this past season. He also shot an impressive 47.7% from the field and 44.5% from beyond the arc.
According to 247Sports reporter Dushawn London, Indiana is currently considered the frontrunner to land the former Sam Houston State standout. Wilkerson is regarded as the top available shooting guard in the transfer portal and one of Indiana’s highest-priority targets.
Wilkerson began his collegiate career at Three Rivers Community College in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, before transferring to Sam Houston State in 2022.
Indiana head coach Darian DeVries has already secured three transfers this offseason: former Drake point guard Conor Enright, his son and former West Virginia guard Tucker DeVries, and Davidson power forward Reed Bailey.
However, the Hoosiers recently came up short in the pursuit of Miami guard Nijel Pack, who has committed to Oklahoma, per On3’s Joe Tipton.
Wilkerson has one year of eligibility remaining.
