GOOD NEWS: Bengals Positioned Favorably in Power Rankings Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft

Despite a relatively quiet free agency period for the Cincinnati Bengals, one NFL writer still considers them a top-10 team and a formidable opponent for any matchup.

While the Bengals didn’t make major headlines this offseason, they did secure several key additions, including TJ Slaton, Lucas Patrick, Oren Burks, and Samaje Perine. They also managed to retain several important players such as Joseph Ossai, BJ Hill, Mike Gesicki, Cody Ford, and, of course, their dynamic wide receiver duo, Tee Higgins and Ja’Marr Chase.

That said, the team still needs to make the most of their six draft picks to address some key areas.

Jarrett Bailey of Touchdown Wire believes the Bengals are still a top-10 NFL team. He pointed out, “Anything that can be said about the Chargers’ receivers or the Texans’ offensive line can be said about the Bengals’ defense. While it’s great that Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are locked in long-term, if the defense doesn’t improve, it won’t matter. But no team wants to face that offensive trio of Joe Burrow, Chase, and Higgins.”

Bailey’s point is a valid one: Even with questions surrounding their defense, no team wants to line up against the Bengals’ high-powered offense.

The Bengals wisely invested in their stars, securing the league’s best wide receiver tandem along with their franchise quarterback for the next four years.
