The South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team has consistently set the standard for excellence in recent seasons under the leadership of head coach Dawn Staley. With Staley at the helm, the Gamecocks have captured three national championships—in 2017, 2022, and most recently, in 2024. During this dominant run, Staley has recruited top-tier talent like Bree Hall, who left a meaningful mark on the program. Hall just wrapped up her senior year, averaging 6.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game in her fourth season with the team. After the season concluded, her father, Bryan Hall, expressed his appreciation to Coach Staley for her guidance and support. “We thank you so much for pouring into Breezy and giving her the opportunity to play there,” he said. “We are forever grateful.”

You gave. You conquered. We were better because of you… now the WNBA and the world get to see what you gave to us. Love you, Breezy!”
Over the course of her four-year career with the South Carolina Gamecocks, Bree Hall contributed steadily on the court, averaging 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. Her efforts helped the team secure two national championships during her time in Columbia, further cementing her role in the program’s historic success.
South Carolina closed out the season with a defeat in the national championship game, falling to Geno Auriemma and the UConn Huskies.
