Indiana Shows Interest in Grand Canyon Transfer Forward Duke Brennan
Indiana has emerged as one of the latest programs to express interest in Grand Canyon transfer forward Duke Brennan.
According to a report from Dushawn London of 247Sports, the Hoosier coaching staff reached out to Brennan early Monday morning.
Brennan, a 6-foot-10, 250-pound big man, posted an impressive season with the Lopes, averaging 10.4 points and 9.2 rebounds per game while shooting 64.6 percent from the field and 65.4 percent from the free-throw line. He has one year of eligibility remaining.
Over the course of his three-year college career — including two seasons at Grand Canyon and one at Arizona State — Brennan has appeared in 101 games with 66 starts. He holds career averages of 6.4 points and 5.9 rebounds in 19.1 minutes per game.
This past season, Brennan recorded 19 double-digit scoring games and 10 double-doubles. He dominated the glass in conference play, leading the Western Athletic Conference in offensive rebounding percentage (15.7%) and ranking second in defensive rebounding percentage (24.4%). His season-long offensive rebounding percentage of 14.7 ranked 23rd nationally, per KenPom.com.
A native of Chandler, Arizona, Brennan played high school basketball at Hillcrest Prep and was part of the 2022 recruiting class. He was rated the No. 200 overall prospect in the country by the 247Sports Composite rankings.
As he explores his next step in college basketball, Brennan has quickly become one of the more intriguing frontcourt options in the transfer portal — and Indiana is now officially in the mix.
