At last, Arkansas’ portal season is trending in a positive direction — the Razorbacks have secured South Carolina transfer Nick Pringle.
Nick Pringle announces his commitment to Arkansas
Nick Pringle, a fifth-year senior, brings a wealth of SEC and NCAA Tournament experience to Fayetteville. His journey is a testament to persistence — starting as an unranked high school recruit, he’s climbed the ranks to become one of the SEC’s top forwards.
He began his college career at Wofford in 2020, where he averaged just 2 points and 2.1 rebounds over 15 games as a freshman. Pringle then took a detour to Dodge City Community College, where he thrived and emerged as the No. 5 overall junior college prospect and the top-ranked power forward in his class.
That success earned him a spot at Alabama, where he spent two seasons and played a key role in the Crimson Tide’s historic run to their first-ever Final Four. During that Final Four season, the 6-foot-10, 220-pound forward averaged 6.8 points and 5.1 rebounds, shooting an efficient 62.3% from the field in 18.2 minutes per game.
Pringle then transferred to South Carolina, where he became an immediate starter and continued to elevate his game. He posted averages of 9.5 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest, including a standout performance against Arkansas in which he put up 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals in a dominant 72-53 win.
Now, Pringle becomes the first addition to Arkansas’ 2025 transfer class, bringing experience, production, and a chip on his shoulder to the Razorbacks’ frontcourt.
