BREAKING: South Dakota State University Appoints New Head Football Coach.

South Dakota State University has appointed Dan Jackson as the new head coach of the football team.

This follows the earlier decision of former head coach, Jimmy Rogers, to take a role at Washington State University.

Jackson competed with the Jackrabbits from 2003 to 2005. He served as a Graduate Assistant at SDSU from 2012 to 2014 as well.

He held previous coaching positions at Northern Illinois University, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Idaho.

Jackson served as the defensive coordinator at the University of Idaho during the last season.

As SDSU’s 22nd head coach, he aims to maintain the program’s streak of 13 straight FCS playoff appearances.
