Former Indiana guard Lexus Bargesser is heading to Fort Collins, Colorado, for her final season of college basketball, as she plans to transfer to Colorado State this offseason.
Junior guard Lexus Bargesser, a native of Grass Lake, Michigan, is set to spend her final season of college basketball at Colorado State. Over three seasons with Indiana, Bargesser appeared in 90 games and made nine starts.
The 5-foot-9 guard averaged 3.3 points per game during her time with the Hoosiers, shooting 45.7% from the field and 31% from three-point range in 17.4 minutes per contest.
Indiana women’s basketball has seen a major roster shakeup this offseason, with half the team entering the transfer portal. Bargesser becomes the fifth former Hoosier to find a new home, joining Julianna LaMendola (Grand Canyon), Yarden Garzon (Maryland), Sharnecce Currie-Jelks (Murray State), and Lilly Meister (Kansas). Henna Sandvik remains the only transfer yet to announce her next destination.
To offset the departures, head coach Teri Moren and the Hoosiers have brought in several transfers, including former UCLA forward and McDonaldâs All-American Zania Socka-Nguemen, Virginia forward Edessa Noyan, and guards Chloe Spreen (Alabama) and Phoenix Stotijn (Arkansas).
Colorado State head coach Ryun Williams shared his enthusiasm about the addition of Bargesser in a recent press release:
âReally excited to get Lexus in a Ram uniform. She’s a very athletic, talented basketball player who has played at the highest level. She’s guarded the best players in the country from Caitlin Clark to JuJu Watkins to Britt Prince at Nebraska. She’s very competitive and is going to help our basketball team. We know we’re getting a winner and are excited to get her to Fort Collins.â
Bargesser will enter her senior year with one season of eligibility remaining.
