A few days after Tre Holloman announced his commitment to NC State, new Wolfpack head coach Will Wade made it official. On Friday, Wade formally confirmed the addition of the three-year Michigan State guard to the program.
“We’re thrilled to add a player with three years of experience in a Power Five conference and a high-level program,” Wade said in a statement about the 21-year-old Holloman. “Tre is a natural leader—he served as a team captain at Michigan State last season. He’s an excellent floor general who makes the game easier for those around him, and he can score when needed.”

Originally a four-star recruit from Cretin-Derham Hall High School in Saint Paul, Minn., Tre Holloman will arrive in Raleigh as a four-star transfer after steady development during his time at Michigan State. As a junior last season, he posted career highs with 9.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
Holloman becomes the third addition to Will Wade’s first transfer class at NC State, joining former McNeese State guards Quadir Copeland and Alyn Breed.
