LATEST UPDATE: Coach Kirby Smart Earnings After Georgia Dawgs’ College Football Playoff participation.

ATLANTA, Georgia. (Atlanta News First) – Kirby Smart, head coach of Georgia, is currently the highest-paid coach in college football, and the Bulldogs’ entry into the College Football Playoff ensures he will earn even more.

The agreement assures Smart a yearly salary of $13 million along with substantial bonuses for success in the postseason.

Smart has already deposited a $400,000 check for securing his third SEC Championship; the Dawgs’ participation in the Sugar Bowl earns him an additional $200,000.

If the Dawgs succeed and secure the national championship, that $200,000 turns into $1 million. Smart receives $500,000 if the team is defeated in the semifinal and $600,000 if they lose in the national championship.
