The Wisconsin Badgers have made notable strides in their 2026 recruiting class throughout April, securing four commitments over the past three weeks—the most recent being three-star offensive lineman Maddox Cochrane.
Now, they’re emerging as a serious contender for another key target: four-star running back Amari Latimer.
Wisconsin has been in the mix for Latimer for quite some time and recently earned a spot in his final six schools, joining Georgia, Michigan, Texas, Florida State, and Tennessee.
The Badgers have locked in an official visit with Latimer for the final weekend of May—a crucial stretch when several top targets are expected to be on campus.
Currently, Texas and Miami are the only other programs with official visits scheduled for Latimer, with Texas being a recent addition.
Adding to Wisconsin’s appeal is the presence of Latimer’s brother, cornerback Geimere Latimer, who transferred from Jacksonville State this past offseason. His commitment could play a role in attracting the talented running back.
After missing out on a running back in the 2025 class, the position is a top priority for Wisconsin in this cycle—making Latimer a leading name on their board.
