The Duke basketball program has extended an official offer to 2026 four-star guard Kohl Rosario, roughly a week after reports surfaced of the Blue Devils’ interest in the standout prospect.
The Duke basketball program has extended an offer to Kohl Rosario, a four-star 2026 recruit from Moravian Prep in North Carolina. According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Rosario is ranked as the No. 96 overall player, No. 14 shooting guard, and No. 3 player in North Carolina for the class of 2026.
Despite being just inside the top 100, the 6’5″, 185-pound guard has attracted attention from major programs, securing offers from Kansas, Baylor, BYU, Cincinnati, Tennessee, and Villanova, among others. In the 2024-25 season, Rosario played for YNG Dreamerz in the Overtime Elite league, averaging 15.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, with a 43.2% field goal percentage and 81.3% from the free-throw line. During the 2023-24 season at Moravian Prep, the 18-year-old averaged an impressive 25.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game.
Recently, Rosario’s recruitment has gained momentum, with Duke and Kansas being the latest high-major programs to offer him over the past few months. Duke, however, has yet to secure a commitment for the 2026 class. Notably, four-star recruit Sebastian Wilkins briefly committed to Duke for 2026 before reclassifying to the 2025 class to play this fall.
Duke has also hosted two top 2026 guards on official visits in November: Brandon McCoy, the No. 2 overall player and No. 1 point guard, and Jordan Smith Jr., the No. 6 overall player and No. 1 shooting guard in the class, per 247Sports.
With the 2025 offseason behind them, Duke’s coaching staff, led by Jon Scheyer, has finalized most of its roster for the upcoming season. Despite significant turnover—losing the entire 2024-25 starting lineup, securing and then losing top transfer Cedric Coward to the 2025 NBA Draft, and adding late commitments from 2025 prospects Sebastian Wilkins and Italian talent Dame Sarr—the Blue Devils are poised to kick off the new season.
