NC State Women’s Basketball Welcomes First Transfer: Meet the Former UConn Guard

RALEIGH, N.C. — The NC State women’s basketball team has bolstered its roster with the addition of its first transfer, Qadence Samuels, a 6-foot sophomore guard from UConn. The announcement, made on May 30, 2025, marks a significant move for the Wolfpack as they prepare for the upcoming season.

Samuels, a former top recruit ranked No. 41 in the 2023 cycle, brings versatility and experience to NC State.
