The Badgers secured three new commitments on Sunday. What impact does each one have for the program?
Arthur Scott
The first commitment of the day, Scott fills a key need on the defensive line. The 6’3”, 290-pound Ohio native wasn’t heavily contested and chose Wisconsin over Rutgers, Michigan State, and Cincinnati. After some earlier misses on interior defensive linemen, Scott’s addition is crucial—he’s expected to contribute at the 3-tech or nose tackle spot. His late rise in recruitment gave Wisconsin an edge in a relatively open race.
Ben Wenzel
Wenzel’s commitment helps solidify the linebacker room alongside Aden Reeder. A hometown player, he chose Wisconsin over notable programs like Oklahoma and Michigan State, influenced by strong recent engagement from the Badgers. Wisconsin continues a trend of signing inside linebackers, having brought in two in the 2025 class. Wenzel’s decision caps off the current linebacker recruiting cycle, with no more visits planned at the position.
Djidjou Bah
The hardest-to-secure commitment of the day, Bah adds a versatile defensive end to the class. He had multiple Big Ten suitors but committed after an impressive official visit. Defensive line coach E.J. Whitlow and outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell played key roles in building a strong relationship with him. Bah’s addition marks the third defensive lineman in the class, addressing a critical position group.
Looking Ahead
Wisconsin’s first weekend of official visits brought a strong start, but more announcements are expected throughout the week. Other top targets like tight ends Jack Sievers and Jack Janda, wide receiver Zachary Washington, and four-star Amari Latimer remain priorities. The Badgers are also making moves on key recruits at outside linebacker, offensive line, and wide receiver positions.
The early momentum from this weekend sets a solid foundation for Wisconsin’s 2026 class, positioning the program well nationally as they continue to chase big-name prospects.
