In April, Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro sparked a feud with Ohio, trading barbs with Cleveland Cavaliers guard Darius Garland.
Now, the Herro family and the Buckeye State are set to reconcile.
Myles Herro, Tyler’s younger brother and a guard from Whitnall High School in Greenfield, Wis., committed to Ohio State, he told On3’s Joe Tipton on Monday.
“I chose Ohio State because it felt like the perfect fit, both on and off the court,” Myles told Tipton. “The chance to develop in a program like this, compete at a high level, and join something special was really appealing.”
Myles enters a Buckeyes program that finished 17–15 last season under coach Jake Diebler, missing the NCAA men’s tournament for the third consecutive year. Meanwhile, Tyler, 25, enjoyed a career-best season with the Heat, earning his first All-Star nod and setting personal highs in points, assists, and games started.
