BREAKING NEWS: Jerry Reinsdorf Agrees to Potential Deal to Sell Chicago White Sox

CHICAGO (WNDU) – The Chicago White Sox made a major announcement today, confirming that longtime owner Jerry Reinsdorf is planning to sell the team.

According to multiple reports, billionaire private equity investor Justin Ishbia is lined up to purchase the franchise. The deal is structured as a long-term transition, with Ishbia expected to assume full control sometime between 2029 and 2034.

In the interim, Ishbia will begin investing capital into the organization over the next two years to support its operations and future growth.

Reinsdorf, who also serves as the principal owner of the NBA’s Chicago Bulls, originally purchased the White Sox in 1981.
