Indiana Hoosiers wide receiver Elijah Sarratt has been ranked No. 6 on Christopher Sheppard’s list of the “Top 10 Big Ten Offensive Players for 2025,” published by the Nittany Lions Wire.
6. Elijah Sarratt, Indiana
“The only player on the list from a non-traditional blue blood program, Sarratt is now tasked with leading Indiana following one of the most successful seasons in program history,” Sheppard wrote. “After transferring from JMU with head coach Curt Cignetti, he remains one of the few key offensive returners from that group and will be expected to lead both on and off the field. His 957 receiving yards and eight touchdowns could rise further, especially if Cal transfer Fernando Mendoza leans on him during his transition into the offense. If there’s one non-blue-blood player to keep an eye on this season, it’s Sarratt.”
Heading into Curt Cignetti’s second season at the helm, Sarratt is generating plenty of buzz, but he’s not the only Hoosier to watch. Wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. is another emerging playmaker, coming off a 2024 campaign in which he averaged 21.2 yards per catch on 28 receptions, totaling seven touchdowns. While Pro Football Focus graded him slightly lower than others on the list, his 77.9 rating still ranks as a strong performance.
Sarratt, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 209 pounds, caught 53 passes last season for 957 yards and eight scores. He was also named to the Biletnikoff Award watch list in 2024.
