NC State had been firmly in the mix for Keshawn Stancil ever since offering the Clayton High School (N.C.) defensive lineman back in May 2024. The significance of that offer was clear — the 6-foot-4, 270-pound four-star prospect still has it pinned at the top of his X profile.
Just last week, Stancil took an official visit to Raleigh, the latest in a series of trips he’s made to campus during his recruitment.
However, on Saturday night, Stancil announced his commitment to Clemson, selecting the Tigers over his other finalists: NC State, Miami, Penn State, and Georgia.
He made his decision public with a post on social media:
Stancil, who amassed nearly three dozen scholarship offers before narrowing down his choices, ranks No. 157 overall, No. 20 among defensive linemen, and No. 10 in the state of North Carolina in the 247Sports Composite for the 2026 class.
With his commitment to Clemson, NC State’s 2026 recruiting class remains at 12 pledges — all currently rated as three-star prospects. According to 247Sports, the Wolfpack’s class ranks No. 70 nationally and No. 15 within the ACC.
