Indiana continues to expand its 2026 recruiting board with a new offer to rising senior wing Aiden Derkack, who announced the scholarship on Sunday afternoon.
Derkack, a 6-foot-6 prospect from Colonia High School in Colonia, N.J., is ranked as a four-star recruit and the No. 84 overall player in the 2026 class, according to the industry average of national recruiting outlets. He’s also listed as the No. 24 shooting guard in the cycle.
As a junior, Derkack posted impressive numbers, averaging 24.7 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He plays travel basketball with Team Final on the Nike EYBL circuit, where this spring he averaged 13.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game while shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 28.3 percent from three. He also stood out at the Pangos All-American Camp, averaging 18.8 points per game.
Derkack hasn’t released a list of finalists or scheduled official visits yet, leaving his recruitment wide open despite Indiana entering the picture later than some other programs.
He comes from a basketball-centric family. His brother, Jordan, played at Rutgers last season and is set to suit up for Dayton in 2025–26. His sister, Taylor, is Colonia High’s all-time leading scorer and currently plays at UMass. Their father also played college basketball at Florida International.
Known for his aggressive, downhill playing style and strong ball-handling at his size, Derkack is still developing as a shooter but has shown flashes of scoring ability from the perimeter during spring and summer action.
In addition to Indiana, Derkack holds offers from Rutgers, Villanova, Notre Dame, Creighton, Miami, TCU, Xavier, Providence, Dayton, Oklahoma State, Maryland, and several others.
