Indiana earns spot in top eight for 4-star 2026 small forward Cole Cloer.

Indiana men’s basketball is among the final eight programs in the mix for Cole Cloer, a 4-star small forward in the class of 2026, according to a report from On3’s Joe Tipton.

Indiana has been aggressive on the recruiting trail since Darian DeVries took over, and his staff’s existing relationships are already starting to yield results. Small forward has emerged as a clear priority, with the Hoosiers having extended scholarship offers to eight players at the position so far, according to On3. One notable target, Caleb Cloer, has yet to make a visit to Bloomington.

Cloer stars at Caldwell Academy in Greensboro, North Carolina, and is weighing offers from a strong group of programs, including NC State, UConn, Florida, Alabama, Virginia, North Carolina, and Louisville.

It’s worth keeping an eye on the in-state contenders in this recruitment. Hubert Davis faces a pivotal year at UNC following several underwhelming seasons, while Will Wade has generated significant buzz since taking over at NC State. Cloer, ranked as On3’s No. 1 prospect in North Carolina, is a must-get for both programs, adding pressure to land his commitment.
