Indiana football has secured a key addition to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of Walker Bryson, a three-star athlete from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School in Rabun Gap, Georgia. Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, Bryson is primarily a wide receiver but also brings experience at defensive back. He is rated as the No. 511 overall prospect nationally and the No. 26 athlete in the 2026 cycle, according to recruiting services.
Bryson is recognized for his elite speed, highlighted by a laser-timed 4.4-second 40-yard dash. That speed translates well on the field, where he contributes as a receiver, return specialist, and rusher. In just 7.5 regular-season games during his junior year, he recorded 10 touchdowns, 500 receiving yards on 40 catches, 400 return yards, and totaled 1,000 all-purpose yards.
He chose Indiana over a competitive list of offers, including North Carolina, Wake Forest, South Florida, Rutgers, Minnesota, Kansas State, and Virginia Tech. Bryson made an official visit to Bloomington in early June and had previously visited during spring practices in April. He cited the humility and character of the Indiana coaching staff as major factors in his decision.
With Bryson’s commitment, Indiana now has 21 verbal pledges in its 2026 class, which currently ranks around No. 27 nationally. He becomes the second wide receiver to join the Hoosiers in this cycle, adding a dynamic, multi-faceted weapon to their offensive future.
