FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas wrapped up another productive recruiting weekend with a commitment from Keymian Henderson, a 3-star wide receiver out of Carthage, Texas.
Henderson’s pledge further strengthens Arkansas’ recruiting presence in East Texas, a region the program began to reestablish ties with during Chad Morris’ tenure as head coach from 2018 to 2019.
The 6-foot-3, 190-pound wide receiver has emerged as a rising prospect this summer, gaining traction among recruiting services after a standout junior season at Carthage High School.
Henderson led the perennial Texas powerhouse in receiving yards during the 2024 campaign, helping guide the Bulldogs to a 15-1 record and a 4A Division II state championship — the program’s 10th title since 2008.
As a junior, he totaled 64 receptions for 1,085 yards and 18 touchdowns, earning offers from programs such as Kansas State, Arkansas, Kentucky, Houston, TCU, SMU, and Mississippi State, among others.
With his combination of size and athleticism, Henderson fits the mold of a prototypical Bobby Petrino wideout — a field-stretching, mismatch-creating threat who thrives in vertical concepts.
He joins a Razorbacks offense that was one of the most explosive in the country last season, logging 246 plays of 10 yards or more in 2024, good for third nationally.
Petrino’s scheme proved effective even with limited returning production, as former Arkansas receiver Andrew Armstrong led the SEC in 2024 with 78 catches for 1,140 yards and a touchdown.
The Razorbacks’ offense averaged over 460 yards per game last season, powered by first-year transfer quarterback Taylen Green, who threw for more than 3,100 yards and 15 touchdowns.
Arkansas has maintained a strong recruiting pipeline at Carthage High School in recent years, previously landing former 4-star offensive lineman Ty’kieast Crawford in 2022 and flipping 3-star lineman Kash Courtney from Baylor.
With Henderson’s commitment, Arkansas now holds 26 pledges in its 2026 recruiting class, which ranks No. 23 nationally, according to 247Sports team rankings.
Earlier this week, the Razorbacks staff made headlines by pulling their offer from 4-star in-state legacy Chase Campbell. What initially looked like a potential setback was quickly eased with the commitment of 4-star linebacker JJ Bush, helping to maintain momentum on the recruiting trail.
With four wide receivers already committed, Arkansas is expected to either take one more high school prospect at the position or wait to assess transfer portal options depending on how the roster shapes up this fall. The staff appears to be keeping flexibility in mind as they finalize their 2026 class strategy.
