South Carolina baseball has added a new transfer from rival Clemson. Hudson Lee announced on Instagram Tuesday that he is moving from Clemson to South Carolina, becoming the sixth former Clemson player to join the Gamecocks in recent years. Last season, Nathan Hall and Nolan Nawrocki also transferred from Clemson, with Hall emerging as one of USC’s key players.
Lee will be the third program he’s played for, having spent two seasons at Wake Forest (2023-24) before transferring to Clemson last year. The former Dorman High star posted a 5.79 ERA over 15 relief appearances for Clemson last season, striking out 19 batters in 14 innings. Notably, Lee did not pitch in Clemson’s three-game series against South Carolina this season.
Since the end of the season, the Gamecocks have been active in the transfer portal. Lee marks the 16th player to join USC since June, while the program has lost 19 players to transfers.
