A’ja Wilson Earns Double ESPY Nominations After Record-Breaking WNBA Season
Former South Carolina star A’ja Wilson continues to make her case as the top women’s basketball player in the world. The Gamecock legend and Las Vegas Aces standout has earned two ESPY Award nominations following a phenomenal 2024 WNBA season. Wilson is up for Best Athlete in Women’s Sports and Best WNBA Player, recognizing both her elite performance on the court and her growing impact on the game.

A Historic Season of Dominance
Wilson’s ESPY nods come as no surprise after a season that redefined excellence. She posted eye-popping averages of 26.9 points, 11.9 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 2.3 assists, and 1.8 steals per game, while shooting 52% from the field and 84% from the line. She led the league in virtually every major statistical category.
