Four-Star DB Blake Stewart Commits to Clemson, Bolstering 2026 Secondary Class
FAIRBURN, GA – July 14, 2025 — Clemson added a major piece to its 2026 recruiting class with the commitment of Blake Stewart, a composite four-star defensive back out of Woodward Academy in Fairburn, Georgia. The 6-foot-1, 175-pound safety announced his decision Monday, choosing the Tigers over Miami, Michigan, and Vanderbilt, along with offers from Georgia, Texas, Florida State, and others.
Stewart, known for his versatility, high-level athleticism, and physical style of play, gives Clemson yet another elite presence in the secondary. He becomes the latest addition to a strong safety group that already includes four-star prospects Kentavion Anderson and Kaden Gebhardt.
In a statement, Stewart cited Clemson’s player-first culture, development focus both on and off the field, and the defensive fit under coordinator Tom Allen as key reasons behind his decision.
“Clemson just felt like home,” Stewart said. “The way they use their safeties — they’re active, aggressive, and versatile. Coach [Mickey] Conn and I have built a great relationship, and I really trust what he and Coach Swinney are building.”
