NC State Lands Commitment from Priority Offensive Line Target Tre Aiken
RALEIGH, N.C. — July 14, 2025 — After more than a year of relentless recruiting, NC State has secured a major win in the trenches. Tre Aiken, a highly sought-after offensive lineman from Clinton High School in South Carolina, has committed to the Wolfpack.
Aiken, a 6-foot-3, 286-pound standout, had been at the top of NC State’s recruiting board since receiving an offer from the program last summer. Over the weekend, the Wolfpack’s coaching staff saw its long-term investment pay off when Aiken made his pledge official.
Although Aiken publicly announced his commitment on Saturday, he revealed that his mind was made up weeks earlier during his official visit to Raleigh from June 6–8.
“I actually knew during the OV,” Aiken said. “It just felt like home.”
The moment that sealed it for Aiken wasn’t a flashy pitch or a stadium tour — it was the late-night welcome he received from NC State’s coaching staff.
“I got in real late — 12 o’clock. And as I was pulling up, Coach [Garett] Tujague and some other coaches were sitting there waiting on me,” Aiken recalled. “I was the last one to come in. They were at the door waiting for me at the hotel, and in my mind, it kind of rang some bells. It made me feel good — it made me feel really good. It started the weekend off right. The little stuff matters.”
Aiken’s commitment gives NC State a key piece in the 2026 recruiting class as the program continues to prioritize physical, high-character linemen up front. His blend of size, intelligence, and toughness has drawn attention from programs across the region, but ultimately, the Wolfpack’s family atmosphere and coaching consistency sealed the deal.
With Aiken in the fold, NC State continues to build momentum on the recruiting trail — and on the offensive line — for seasons to come.
