BENTON, Ark. (KAIT) – Razorback running back Braylen Russell returned to central Arkansas to give back to his community in a big way.
Russell hosted the Dream Big Camp in his hometown of Benton, welcoming football players from 1st through 12th grade. The young athletes had the opportunity to learn from one of Benton High School’s most accomplished alumni.
“I hope the kids take something from today that sticks with them for life,” Russell said Saturday. “That’s why we call it ‘Dream Big.’ You’ll see it on all our shirts. When I was younger, I stopped dreaming for a while because I didn’t think I’d ever make it to where I am now. So this camp is about encouraging kids to keep dreaming—no matter what.”
Now heading into his sophomore season at the University of Arkansas, Russell scored three rushing touchdowns in 2024, including one in the Liberty Bowl.
Looking ahead, he says he’s focused on doing what’s best for the team.
“My goal is just to play my role and do whatever the team needs,” he said. “I don’t focus much on individual stats—those come naturally when you’re doing your job. I just want to do what God allows me to do in each moment.”
