Bosnian 7-footer commits to John Calipari and Arkansas basketball

Arkansas basketball and head coach John Calipari have secured a new prospect, per ESPN draft analyst Jonathan Givony.

“Bosnian center Elmir Dzafic has committed to Arkansas, agent Misko Raznatovic told ESPN. The 19-year-old, 7-foot center played for KK Bosna Sarajevo in the Adriatic League 2nd Division this season,” Givony posted on X.

Dzafic’s commitment brings Arkansas’ roster to 13 players, making him the second European player recruited by Calipari, following Zvonimir Ivisic, who transferred to Illinois. Dzafic shone at the U18 European Championship, averaging 13.2 points and 10.4 rebounds per game, dominating the paint. In the Adriatic League 2nd Division with KK Bosna, he averaged 2.2 points and 1.2 rebounds per game.
