FAYETTEVILLE — The University of Arkansas football team heads into its first game week of 2025 in good health and high spirits, Head Coach Sam Pittman said Monday.
“It’s really nice to have a home opener,” Pittman said of the Razorbacks’ nonconference matchup against Alabama A&M, set for 3:15 p.m. Saturday on SEC Network. “We haven’t been here to open the season in a while.”
Indeed, Arkansas hasn’t started a season on campus since defeating Cincinnati 31-24 in 2022. The past two openers were played in Little Rock.
Pittman added that fall camp gave the staff confidence in several areas where they already believed the team could be strong.
