Top 2027 QB Prospect Caden Jones Set for Second Visit to Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE — One of the most sought-after quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class is making a return trip to Fayetteville this week. Caden Jones, a 6-foot-3, 185-pound signal caller from Crean Lutheran High School in Irvine, Calif., is expected to visit the University of Arkansas on Wednesday for the second time this year.
Jones, accompanied by his father Steve during a previous visit in March, will be joined this time by his mother as the family continues to evaluate his college options.
Despite still having two years of high school remaining, Jones is already a national name in recruiting circles. He holds over 50 scholarship offers from powerhouse programs including Arkansas, Oregon, Georgia, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Michigan, Ohio State, LSU, Auburn, Ole Miss, Utah, California, and Missouri, among others.
Known for his poise and accuracy, Jones impressed scouts and coaches early in his high school career. His sophomore season was shortened due to a medial collateral ligament (MCL) injury to his left knee, but he still managed to complete 56 of 70 passes for 726 yards and 8 touchdowns in just four games. He also added 61 rushing yards and 2 scores on the ground.
Jones’ return to Fayetteville suggests continued mutual interest between the Razorbacks and the California standout, who is expected to be one of the top quarterback prospects nationally by the time the 2027 cycle ramps up.
Arkansas head coach Sam Pittman and offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino have placed an emphasis on bolstering the program’s future at quarterback, and Jones’ visit could be a pivotal step in that direction.
