Four-Star JJ Andrews, No. 42 in 2026 Class, Commits to Arkansas
JJ Andrews, the No. 42 overall prospect in the 2026 recruiting class, has announced his commitment to the University of Arkansas.
The 6-foot-6, 220-pound small forward from Little Rock Christian Academy chose the Razorbacks over strong offers from Missouri and LSU.
Andrews’ decision marks a major recruiting victory for head coach John Calipari and his staff, who successfully closed the gap in recent weeks to secure the in-state standout. Despite Arkansas being the hometown program, the Razorbacks had ground to make up in a competitive recruitment battle — and ultimately came out on top.
Keeping a top-tier local prospect like Andrews in Arkansas is a significant win for the program and its fanbase. His connection to the school runs deep, as his father, Shawn Andrews, was a former Razorback football star who went on to play in the NFL.
A dynamic and physical wing, Andrews brings a high motor and athleticism to both ends of the floor. He thrives as a slasher and finisher at the rim, while also establishing himself as a disruptive presence on defense.
Currently shining on the AAU circuit with Brad Beal Elite, Andrews is off to an impressive start in EYBL play, averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.3 steals over his first three games.
With Andrews now in the fold, Calipari and the Razorbacks have landed one of the most promising players in the 2026 class — and reaffirmed their commitment to keeping top Arkansas talent at home.
