Arkansas Sprinter Jordan Anthony Turns Pro in Track

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Arkansas sprinter and wide receiver Jordan Anthony announced Saturday that he will forgo his remaining college eligibility to pursue a professional track career. The standout athlete, who signed with Adidas in May, made the decision after a stellar track season with the Razorbacks.
Anthony, who transferred to Arkansas from Texas A&M after starting his career at Kentucky, competed in one football season and two track seasons for the Razorbacks. His track achievements include winning the NCAA outdoor 100-meter title on Friday with a time of 10.07 seconds, contributing to Arkansas’ third-place team finish at the meet. He also earned fourth place in the 200 meters (20.01) and anchored Arkansas’ bronze medal-winning 4×100-meter relay team.
Indoors, Anthony claimed the 60-meter title this season. He holds Arkansas program records in the 100 meters (9.95) and 60 meters (6.47), cementing his legacy as one of the program’s top sprinters.
