Arkansas Basketball’s latest 2026 commit, JJ Andrews, is climbing the ranks in the recruiting class. On Tuesday, JJ Andrews, son of Arkansas offensive line legend Shawn Andrews, made a significant leap in the 247Sports recruiting rankings.

Now rated as a 97 4-star and the No. 17 prospect nationally, Andrews has risen from his previous No. 42 spot and 93-rated 4-star status when he committed to the Razorbacks on May 15.
His standout performance at EYBL Memphis, where he helped Brad Beal Elite dominate the summer league, fueled this rankings boost. Averaging over 20 points per game, Andrews caught the attention of 247Sports national basketball analyst Travis Branham during Saturday’s game.
“The 6-foot-6 small forward is a standout in this class and on the verge of a major rankings jump,” Branham wrote. “Andrews’ athleticism, strength, and growing skillset make him a matchup nightmare at the high school level. His ability to drive, spin past defenders, finish in the paint, find open shooters, and knock down shots himself is remarkable.”
As the sole commit for Arkansas’ 2026 class, Andrews sets a strong foundation for another potential top-5 recruiting class in Fayetteville, which would mark the fifth in six seasons.
Following in his father’s legacy, JJ mirrors Shawn Andrews, a .9755 4-star guard, the No. 2 recruit in the nation, and the No. 71 overall prospect in the 2001 class.
