The top ranked Oregon Ducks are feeling great after completing an unbeaten season with coach Dan Lanning. Prior to their eagerly awaited Rose Bowl rematch with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Lanning expressed his views on the Ducks’ remarkable season and their mentality as they gear up for a chance at the College Football Playoff and a national title. The victor will move on to the semifinals of the College Football Playoff and compete against the winner from Texas and Arizona State, whereas the defeated team’s season and aspirations for the national championship will conclude. The most recent matchup between Oregon and Ohio State ended with Oregon triumphing, defeating the then-No. 2 Buckeyes beat them 32-31 at home in Autzen Stadium. Currently, the Ducks must conquer Ohio State for the second occasion this season. Oregon is just the second team since 2000 to defeat Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State in a single season. No one has accomplished that task and beaten the Buckeyes two times in a single season, but the Ducks, led by coach Lanning, have the chance to be the first. Here’s all that Dan Lanning mentioned regarding the matchup against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Rose Bowl: Regarding Oregon’s Chance at the Rose Bowl: “We’re really thrilled about it, clearly looking forward to competing against a strong rival like Ohio State.” I believe that this is an excellent depiction of what the Big Ten can achieve. Having these two teams the chance to compete in the ‘Granddaddy of Them All.’ We are very thrilled for our players, our staff, and definitely myself regarding this chance at the Rose Bowl. We have an experienced team. I’ve felt a strong sense of pride in how they’ve trained throughout the season, as they’ve approached each day with determination and placed significant confidence in our coaching team, sports science division, and strength staff to provide them with the best strategy.
