As the offseason progresses, Clemson football fans are shifting their focus to the recruiting trail — and the timing couldn’t be better, with official visit season right around the corner.

The Tigers have already landed 15 commitments in their 2026 class, the latest being in-state four-star Kentavion Anderson. Anderson ranks as Clemson’s second-highest pledge in the cycle, giving Dabo Swinney’s program solid momentum heading into the first official visit weekend on May 30. Clemson currently holds the nation’s No. 4 recruiting class.

That May 30 weekend is shaping up to be a major event for the Tigers, with around 30 prospects expected on campus — including 20 ranked as four- or five-stars.

Among those top-tier visitors is four-star EDGE Zavion Griffin-Haynes.

Four-star EDGE rusher Zavion Griffin-Haynes from Rolesville, N.C., has narrowed his list to four schools — all of which he has official visits scheduled with — and Clemson leads the pack. He’s set to visit the Tigers on May 30, alongside nearly 30 other top Clemson targets, making it a crucial weekend for Dabo Swinney and his staff to make a lasting impression.

Michigan, Nebraska, and Florida State round out Griffin-Haynes’ top four, and he’ll head to those campuses after his stop at Clemson. The ideal scenario for the Tigers? Blow him away during the visit and secure a commitment before he follows through with the rest of his official visits.

That’s no easy task, but this is a very winnable recruitment for Clemson. Of the four programs, the Tigers boast the most recent success and are expected to be the only legitimate national title contender in 2025.

Griffin-Haynes is also likely aware that Clemson has become a pipeline for elite defensive linemen heading to the NFL — a strong selling point for any high-end EDGE prospect.

He’s currently rated No. 256 overall and the No. 24 EDGE rusher in the 247Sports Composite rankings.
