Clemson’s running back depth has taken a significant blow, as redshirt sophomore Jarvis Green is expected to miss the majority — if not all — of the 2025 season after undergoing foot surgery.
Head coach Dabo Swinney shared the update following Thursday’s fall camp practice.
“The only serious injury we’ve had is Jarvis Green,” Swinney said. “He’s probably going to be out most of the year. We had to do surgery on his foot, but he may have a chance to come back toward the end of the season. I hate that for him — I really do.”
While Swinney expressed optimism that Green could potentially return late in the season, he acknowledged the setback is a tough one for both the team and the player.
“I just hate it for Jarvis because he was in a position to compete,” Swinney added.
The injury is the most significant of camp so far, with other issues being categorized as short-term.
